CuratedCare.Com, a NYC-based online marketplace filled with creative Kid Experts available for moms & dads on the hunt for more inspired babysitting options, is bringing its unique community of child care gurus to LA, with the launch of a new app, just in time for back-to-school!

Aiming to remove all the labor of finding new sitters, teachers and tutors for busy families, co-founders Erin McConaghy and Marlene Veloso sought to create a platform where finding childcare felt inspired and easy (all Kid Experts infuse their unique, creative backgrounds into sessions and you can find, book and pay them all through the site or app). “Creating a marketplace of talented, inspired artists and teachers was a goal for us early on,” says co-founder Erin McConaghy, “We are moms and former artists and teachers, and believed in the notion that everyone’s time matters. If we could help families secure the best possible child care, provide a way for artists and teachers to share their skill sets and provide an opportunity for kids to be engaged during babysitting time, it would be a win-win-win.”

“[My Kid Expert] Leigh was so professional from the moment she accepted my booking, “ says Burbank-based mama Liz Q, “We sent several text messages back and forth getting to know each other a bit. She arrived on time and with a bag full of materials to make arts and crafts with my 5 year old daughter. When Leigh first arrived she asked if I had any house rules and we talked for a bit and I instantly felt like I was talking with an old friend. I was completely comfortable leaving her with my daughter. Fast forward 5 hours later, and upon my return she had baked cookies with my daughter and built a doll house out of reused cardboard pieces from old Amazon boxes!”

The Curated Care platform allows families to create profiles, search, message and book securely for one-off or recurring sitters, teachers and tutors, both last minute and months in advance. The app (launching August 2022) also includes enhanced tools & features.
