The #1 rule of kid culture is slime is king! From cloud slime to butter slime to ooey-gooey slime, if you have a kiddo at home then slime in all its forms has likely made it’s way into your living room. Slime is an awesome, creative sensory experience for kids but it can be tricky to make and certainly a bit messy. Below we’re sharing Curated Care‘s tried & true slime recipe, perfect for little slime pros or novices:

Materials Needed:

• Clear Elmer’s glue

• Contact solution

• Baking Soda

• Popsicle sticks

• Holographic glitter

• Red, blue, green, and yellow food coloring

Setup Instructions:

• Ensure all messy slime materials stay with you! You will be walking around pouring ingredients into each individual child’s container.

• Make a test batch of slime together before the party starts so everyone can get the hang of slime mixing!

• To keep things even more mess-free, you can pre pour glue into containers and give them to each kiddo.

Slime Recipe:

NOTE: Small changes in temperature and humidity can vastly impact the texture of slime. You may follow the directions below, but be sure to make adjustments based on how the slime feels when mixed!

• 1/4 cup of glue ( enough to cover bottom of the container)

• 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

• 4 to 6 squirts of saline solution

• Glitter

• 1-2 drops of food coloring

Instructions:

1. Make sure each child has a container and a popsicle stick

2. Have kiddos select a color and place 1-2 drops of food coloring into the container

3. Pour the glue directly into plastic containers

4. Measure out and add baking soda and saline solution into the containers one at a time.

5. Ask kiddos to slowly stir with popsicle sticks to mix and watch their slime come together!

6. Have kids select a glitter and stir very slowly.

7. Once everything is all mixed, their slime is complete!
